The Lexus NX may be based on the Toyota RAV4 but it is popular in its own right. The luxury crossover is pricier than the RAV4 and not as ubiquitous but it boasts great performance and a comfortable cabin. The NX isn’t for everyone but those who chose the luxury crossover model experience a style and ride quality that not all automakers can provide.

In the age of the SUV and pickup truck, this crossover has what it takes to make a major impact in the automotive industry. According to Motor1, the 2022 Lexus NX just got a major refresh. The 2022 NX uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 203 horsepower. It has a new optional 2.4-liter four-cylinder powertrain that makes a massive 275 horsepower.

The 2022 NX comes in a new more powerful hybrid option, the NX350h. The NX350h makes 45 horsepower more than the current NX300h hybrid model. The NX hybrid model isn’t just quicker, it’s also more fuel efficient. The NX350h will get a whopping 36 combined miles per gallon. The 2022 NX is also introducing a new plug-in hybrid option, the NX450h+.

The new Lexus NX ditches the old trackpad and includes a brand new infotainment system. The 2022 NX also features a new spindle grill in the front of the crossover and replaces the Lexus logo badge in the rear with a Lexus wordmark. With a new driver-centric interior, new display and plenty of new features, what’s not to love about the new Lexus NX?

How much will the 2022 Lexus NX cost?

The 2022 Lexus NX comes in many different trim levels and packages but the base model NX is estimated to start around $39,000 for the NX250. Its NX450+ F Sport trim can top out around $58,000. The NX350 includes the turbocharged four-cylinder engine option and should start at around $43,000.

The new crossover is priced similarly to other vehicles in its class but the 2022 model year is a major uprgade from the previous iteration. It offers a refreshed style and a more user-friendly cabin.

The 2022 Lexus NX features plenty of improvements but it will still be too pricey for the average American. There are plenty of more affordable crossover models. Some even offer more value. The Lexus NX provides a luxury experience and is priced appropiately for the quality that the Japanese automaker provides in its parts and materials.

The 2022 Lexus NX is a great luxury crossover but there are several luxury crossover and SUV models on the market that are better deals. The Volvo XC40, BMW X1, and Mercedes-Benz GLA are all considered to be better options by critics thus far.
