The modern Ducati Monster might take after the Panigale, but it’s not the Italian brand’s only sporty naked bike. If you want a fairing-less Panigale, Ducati offers the Streetfighter, a slightly more relaxed take on the super sportbike. Currently, riders can select two Streetfighter characters: V4 and V4 S. But that’s about to change because Ducati just added two more models to the roster: the 2022 Streetfighter V4 SP and V2.
The Ducati Streetfighter gets a Superleggera super mode: the V4 SP

|Engine||1103cc liquid-cooled V4|
|Transmission||Six-speed manual with dry slipper clutch|
|Front suspension and travel||Fully-adjustable 43mm electronic Ohlins NIX30 fork; 4.7”|
|Rear suspension and travel||Fully-adjustable electronic Ohlins TTX36 mono-shock; 5.1”|
|Curb weight||432 lbs|
Last year, Ducati released a limited-edition, track-focused version of the already extreme Panigale V4. The Panigale Superleggera V4 has 234 hp, making it the most powerful road-legal—yes, it’s road-legal—bike Ducati has ever made. And at 350 lbs dry, it’s even lighter than the earlier Desmosedici RR, which was essentially a MotoGP replica. That’s thanks to its carbon-fiber chassis, something unique in the production motorcycle world, MCN says.
At $100,000 and limited to 500 units, the Panigale Superleggera V4’s appeal was always going to be limited. However, some of its features are trickling down to more affordable models. Earlier this year, Ducati released the Panigale V4 SP, which has the same lightweight chain and carbon-fiber wheels as the Superleggera. And now, Ducati is giving the Streetfighter V4 the same super SP treatment.
Think of the Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP as a very tricked-out V4 S. It has the same electronically-adjustable Ohlins suspension and steering damper as well as the same electronic features. So, it has cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, launch control, slide control, a bidirectional quickshifter, and a 5” TFT display. However, the V4 SP doesn’t have the V4 S’s aluminum wheels.
To save weight and sharpen handling, the Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP has the same carbon-fiber wheels as the Panigale Superleggera. A carbon-fiber mudguard, heel guard, and winglets save weight, too, as does the old-school-style dry clutch. Also, if you want to save more weight, the optional Akrapovic exhaust cuts an additional 13 pounds and adds 9 hp, MCN reports. And to keep this Streetfighter in check, Ducati swaps its standard front Brembo Stylema discs for the Superleggera’s upgraded Stylema Rs.
Here comes a new more-approachable challenger: the 2022 Ducati Streetfighter V2

|Engine||955cc liquid-cooled V2|
|Transmission||Six-speed manual with slipper clutch|
|Front suspension and travel||43mm fully-adjustable Showa BPF fork; 4.7”|
|Rear suspension and travel||Fully-adjustable Sachs mono-shock; 5.1”|
|Curb weight||441 lbs|
For those who want a Ducati sportbike but don’t want something as extreme as the Panigale V4, there’s the Panigale V2. And if the standard Streetfighter V4 is a bit too much, there’s now an alternative with a lower entry barrier: the 2022 Streetfighter V2.
It’s worth pointing out that, up until Ducati introduced the V4 engine, both the Panigale and Streetfighter had two-cylinder engines. But while the old V-twin Streetfighters were a bit, well, fighty, the new V2 model, at least on paper, should be “friendlier,” Roadshow notes. And that’s because, while it has the same engine and output as the Panigale V2, it has all its helpful electronics, too.
So, the 2022 Ducati Streetfighter V2 packs cornering ABS, traction control, and wheelie control. And, like the V4 SP, it has several riding and engine power modes. Also, the Streetfighter V2 comes with a bidirectional quickshifter, a Sachs steering damper, Brembo brakes, and a 4.3” TFT display. That display, like the V4 SP’s 5” one, can connect with Ducati’s smartphone app.
How much are these new Streetfighters?
The 2022 Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP and V2 are both slightly cheaper than the equivalent Panigale models. For the V4 SP, that translates to a $35,500 starting price; the V2 starts at $16,995. And if you’re ready to brawl, mark your calendar for February 2022 when both models hit US dealers.
